The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that strong thundershowers accompanied by hail, strong wind gusts and flying dust are expected today, Sunday, in a number of regions of the Kingdom.

The directorate stated, in a warning bulletin from an orange alert level, that thunderstorms are expected to occur locally, accompanied by hail (from 25 to 40 mm per hour), starting from 14 to 22 hours today, Sunday, in each of the prefectures and provinces of Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, and Zane. , Nador, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Moulay Yacoub, Meknes, Fkih Ben Saleh, Sraghna Castle, Chichaoua and Marrakesh.

The directorate added that it is also expected to record strong wind gusts with local dust dispersal (from 75 to 90 kilometers per hour) starting from 12:30 until 19:00, in each of the prefectures and provinces of Fahs-Anjra, Tangier-Asilah, Figuig, Boulmane, and Midelt. Ifrane, Sefrou, Khenifra, Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Errachidia, Zagora, Ouarzazate, Azilal, Al Haouz, Oujda-Angad, Guercif, Taourirt, Jerada, El Hajeb and Taza.
