According to tradition, Vladimir Putin personally came to congratulate Sergei Sobyanin with re-election.

– More than 75% of voters voted for you. Such a high level of trust convincingly proves the broad support of Muscovites, their approval of your initiatives, plans and, most importantly, and first of all, the results of your work,” the president praised.

On City Day, Vladimir Putin already gave his assessment of the development of Moscow at this very place, but the holiday is a good reason to repeat his kind words.

– Moscow strengthens its position as a powerful scientific and industrial center of Russia. The industries of the future are actively developing, including robotics, instrument making, and the production of new materials,” noted Vladimir Vladimirovich.

The head of the country specifically mentioned the capital’s transport successes. In terms of public transport and comfort of life, Moscow has become one of the best cities in the world.

The President did not forget to mention the renovation program.

“The coming five years will be a time of active promotion of the renovation program in Moscow, and this will also mean a new, higher quality of life for people, comfortable and modern houses, streets, and squares,” said the Russian leader.

At the end of his speech, Putin thanked the city for supporting the new territories. At first, Moscow helped Crimea and Sevastopol. Now she has taken patronage over Donetsk and Lugansk.

“Dear Sergei Semyonovich, dear colleagues, I would like to sincerely thank you for this – for this necessary and noble work,” Putin said.
