According to the njcar.ru portal, during the upcoming New Year holidays the traffic police intends to tighten control measures and organize extensive operations to identify drunk drivers.

According to information from the traffic police, last year, during the long weekend, traffic police officers across the country stopped almost 12 thousand drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It is important to note that more than 6,000 drivers refused to undergo a medical examination, effectively putting themselves at risk of losing their driver’s license without additional checks.

These numbers represent just the tip of the iceberg. The actual number of drivers who may have settled issues with police officers on the spot remains unknown.

In connection with this situation, drivers should be vigilant: do not allow inspectors to check your condition without following all legally established procedures. All actions of police representatives must be carried out in the presence of witnesses or recorded on video. You should not refuse a medical examination in medical institutions, even insist on having it carried out.

And, most importantly, do not sign blank protocol forms. If you disagree with the charges, it is strongly recommended that you present your arguments in writing.
