This is how the BKV, HÉV and Volánbus schedules will be on New Year’s Eve and New Year

The Budapest Transport Center (BKK) continuously provides the public transport service at the end of the year: on New Year’s Eve, many high-capacity flights run all night, the company told MTI.

According to the announcement, all metros, and trams 4, 6, 14, 17, 47, 50, 56A, and trolleybus 80, and bus 7 and bus 8E will run,

and trains run all night on all HÉV lines. As it was written, on New Year’s Eve, before the daytime closure, trams 4, 6 and 17, as well as buses 8E, 85 and 224 run more frequently than usual. They added: on January 1, Monday, the daytime flights run according to the public holiday and non-working day traffic schedule, while the Budavári Cable Car from 3 p.m.

According to the information of the MÁV-Volán group, the trains will run according to the holiday schedule on December 31 and the Sunday schedule on January 1.

Volánbusz flights will depart on December 31st on a working day, and on January 1st according to a schedule corresponding to the working day preceding the first school holiday of the week.

On all HÉV lines, trains will run all night on December 31st, while on January 1st they will run according to the schedule valid on public holidays.

The company asks passengers to find out about schedule changes before departure and to buy their tickets in advance.
