American journalist Tucker Carlson, speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai, said that Moscow makes a more pleasant impression than any city in the United States.

The journalist, who came from the United States, spent about a week in the Russian capital. The main purpose of his trip was to record an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition, Carlson visited the “Russia” exhibition and forum at VDNKh, dined in restaurants and even went to one of the Moscow hypermarkets. Speaking at a summit in the United Arab Emirates, he admitted that he was shocked by a visit to a metropolis where he had never been before.

“It came as a shock to me that Moscow is much nicer than any city in the USA. It is cleaner, safer and more beautiful. The architecture, food, quality of services are much better than in any American city,” the journalist shared his impressions.

Carlson also compared the Moscow and New York subways, but the comparison was not in favor of the latter. He mentioned that in New York visitors are warned about the dangers of using the subway, and blamed the American authorities for this.

“If you can’t take the subway because it’s too dangerous, then what is the purpose of leadership anyway?” – Carlson noted.

The day before, the editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, Margarita Simonyan, reported that Tucker Carlson’s interview with Vladimir Putin was viewed more than one billion times on all sources. She called it a “landmark” event in the history of journalism, pointing out that many people in the United States shared this opinion in the comments.

In an interview with a journalist, the Russian leader once again outlined Moscow’s position in the conflict with Ukraine as a proxy state used by the collective West to weaken Russia. Putin gave Carlson a tour of history, recalled the key stages of the special military operation, outlining the role of US and EU leaders in the escalation of tensions. In addition, the President of the Russian Federation emphasized the peaceful aspirations of the Russian Federation, the absence of plans to attack European countries, and assured that the main goal of our country is national security and constructive dialogue with other states.
