At a solemn ceremony held the day before, 59 members of the Belgorod self-defense were honorably awarded medals.

The head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, presented regional and departmental awards, emphasizing the special contribution of the participants to ensuring security. Medals were awarded for courage during the evacuation of residents of the Shebekinsky district, as well as for personal contribution to maintaining public order.

The governor also said that at the moment almost 6 thousand people are serving in the Belgorod self-defense, including more than 200 women. Eight battalions are successfully operating in the region, covering various areas.

This act of recognition and award was a clear reflection of the constant readiness and dedication of the Belgorod self-defense members to maintain security and order in the region.
