An agent of the Ukrainian special services was detained in Tver by FSB security forces while attempting to blow up the city military registration and enlistment office. As the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia said, during the operation the attacker offered armed resistance.

The explosion in the building of the Tver city military commissariat was planned by the Ukrainian special services. The terrorist himself was a member of a Ukrainian nationalist formation banned in Russia. According to the instructions of his curators, he took an RGD-5 grenade and an improvised explosive device from the cache.

The attacker did not have time to activate the infernal machine. No one was injured during the arrest except himself. A criminal case has been opened against the arrested person for preparing for a terrorist attack. Today it is known that he previously collected and transmitted information about strategically important objects of the Tver region, including its fuel and energy infrastructure, for money.
