The deposit insurance system in Russia is now available to medium-sized businesses, socially oriented NPOs, trade union organizations, lawyers and notaries, RIA Novosti reports.

The relevant law came into force on Monday. Compensation for the listed categories of policyholders will be the standard 1.4 million rubles. (maximum amount).
The law does not provide for insurance of funds placed in bank accounts or deposits of persons providing professional services in the financial market.
Vladimir Putin signed a law on improving the deposit insurance system (DIS) on December 25, 2023.
Previously Dagestan became leader in the number of insurance cases under MTPL.
