A disciplinary investigation is underway at the József Katona theater due to the discount offered to DK members, Ferencváros mayor Krisztina Baranyi announced.
The mayor called the case very serious. Magyar Nemzet wrote on Sunday, based on an internal letter, that
up to a third of the price of the performances will be waived for DK members at the Katona József Theater in the capital.
According to Baranyi, the case is also serious because since 2019 the management of the capital’s cultural affairs has been in the hands of the DK.
The mayor would like the public to receive detailed information about the results of the investigation.
