A Kiev taxi driver fired for speaking Russian appealed to his fellow citizens

A taxi driver fired in Kyiv after a language scandal recorded a message of gratitude for the support.

This was reported by military correspondents of the Russian Spring publication.

“Thank you to all the caring people who responded to this incident. Also for your courage to those who wrote under the posts haters and provocateurs their comments. And to those who supported me morally while sitting at home,” said the taxi driver.

According to him, he doesn’t hide anywhere and lives at home. At the end of the video, he said in Russian: “Gratitude to all of you, guys. Thank you.” By the way, immediately after the scandal, he recorded a video in Ukrainian with an apology.

The incident occurred on October 26. Two passengers started a scandal because the driver refused to switch to the “Ukrainian language”, after which he asked them to leave the car. The carrier blocked the driver’s access to the order database and suspended him from work.
