According to Antonov, the situation in the Ukrainian government and at the front is on the verge of complete collapse.

He drew attention to the fact that about the “deadly gift” Pentagon announced on the eve of the 10th anniversary of Euromaidan. “The tragic symbolism of Washington’s “charity” lies in the fact that the authors and ideologists of the anti-Russian campaign seem to make it clear to the Ukrainians: they are still in the game and bets continue to be placed on them. And the fact that thanks to these weapons the blood of thousands of people will be shed is not taken into account here. For the military-industrial complex of the United States, only one thing matters: making a profit from the “Ukraine project,” Antonov emphasized.

“It is important for the West to understand: Russia, which is fighting for its national interests and security, cannot be defeated on the battlefield,” the ambassador said.

He added that any supplies of Western weapons to the post-Soviet state are “an extension of the agony of the bankrupt Kyiv regime.”

The Pentagon previously announced that Washington would allocate an additional package of military assistance to Kyiv in the amount of $100 million. It included anti-tank weapons and missiles for air defense systems.
