Car insurers named the most accident-prone Russian regions

Head of RSA Evgeny Ufimtsev named the Russian regions that lead in the number of insurance cases under compulsory motor liability insurance. The insurer’s words are conveyed on the organization’s website.

Dagestan took first place in the ranking at the end of 2023. Here, the frequency of insurance incidents was 9.3%, that is, almost every tenth MTPL policy owner caused an accident.
Ingushetia took second place on the list with 8%, third place went to Chechnya with 7.4%.
Also in the top ten leading regions in terms of the number of insured events were Primorye and Khabarovsk Territory, Novosibirsk and Yakutia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Chuvashia and Tomsk Region.
As for Moscow, where there are the most drivers in the country, it took 13th place, gaining 5%.
As Ufimtsev added, in 2023, OSAGO owners began to drive more carefully, which is confirmed by statistics: 5.1% in 2022 versus 4.5% in 2023. But in a number of regions the problem of frequent accidents is still relevant, the specialist concluded.
