Drinking grape juice may contribute to the development of diabetes, said doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov.

“Let’s take a healthy person with risk factors for diabetes. Grapes themselves, like some other fruits and berries, can reduce the likelihood of developing diabetes. However, grape juice no longer does. Its consumption increases these risks,” the doctor noted.

In addition, Myasnikov shared information about what factors can cause diabetes. According to him, the development of this disease is not provoked by the consumption of sugar.

“Its appearance is associated with hereditary predisposition and various environmental factors, such as overeating and excess calories,” Myasnikov added.
