Driver’s licenses that expire in 2024 and 2025 will be extended for three years. Information about this is provided by TASS, citing official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.

“The innovation will affect both drivers who drive vehicles for personal purposes and those who drive vehicles while carrying out work and business activities,” Volk said in a statement.

The initiative to extend the validity of certificates was proposed both by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The initiative is being implemented within the powers of the Russian government.

Previously we reported that the traffic police have revealed for which violations inspectors will no longer fine drivers. It is noted that recently the loyalty of traffic police officers to certain types of violations on the road has noticeably increased.
