We can already feel the effect of increasing duties and, above all, in inexpensive European wines. If in 2022 it was possible to find wines from unfriendly countries in stores for less than 250 rubles per bottle, now there are practically none left. Against this background, there is an increase in the consumption of imported wines from the CIS countries and the New World (Chile, South Africa, Argentina), because they were not affected by the increase in duties, says Evgeny Shcherbakov, head of the wine portfolio of Luding Group.
