This morning, the process of electing a new mayor of the city of Rabat was held to succeed Asmaa Jallou, who submitted her resignation. The matter relates to the election of Fatiha Al-Moudani, from the National Rally of Independents party, as head of the Rabat Community Council, who submitted her candidacy alone.

The new mayor, who was approved by the majority, received an overwhelming majority of votes, obtaining 66 votes, while 7 members of the Justice and Development team voted no, and 3 members of the Left Federal team abstained from voting.
