The sun went white: four powerful flares per night
Four powerful flares on the Sun were recorded on the evening of February 12 and on the night of the 13th, the heliogeophysical service of the Institute of Applied Geophysics reported on Tuesday.

All events are assigned a high class M. Let us recall that manifestations of solar activity are categorized into five classes – from the weakest A to the most powerful X – depending on the power of radiation reaching the Earth.
The flares were recorded in the X-ray range by the Elektro-L and GOES meteorological satellites.
They did not cause a magnetic storm on Earth, although scientists have not yet ruled it out.
