Curd spread with bell pepper and garlic is a quick and easy snack that can be prepared from simple and affordable ingredients. Spread on bread or used to stuff vegetables, this spread will be an ideal choice for a snack or meal for breakfast, afternoon snack or dinner.

To prepare the spread according to the recipe you will need following ingredients for 4 servings:

– 170 g cottage cheese (preferably 5% fat),

– 70 g red bell pepper,

– 50 g sour cream (20% fat),

– 5 g garlic (a couple of cloves),

– 10 g fresh dill,

– 140 g bread (4 slices),

– salt and pepper to taste.


  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and fry the bread slices until golden brown on both sides. Leave them to cool.
  2. In a deep bowl, mash the curd with a spoon to remove any lumps.
  3. Add sour cream to cottage cheese and mix well.
  4. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and cut it into small cubes. Add pepper to curd mixture and mix well again.
  5. Wash and dry the dill, remove the stems and finely chop the leaves. Peel and grate the garlic. Add garlic and dill to the curd mixture. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir all ingredients well until evenly combined.
  6. Apply the resulting spread to the cooled slices of bread and distribute it evenly.
  7. If you wish, you can decorate the toast with fresh herbs before serving.
