Hungarian style, with delicious tomato sauce

Salads on the New Year’s table are great, but sooner or later guests will still ask for hot food. And here the recipe for “Hungarian Chicken” from the Zen channel “Now let’s cook it!” will come in handy.

This dish does not require any special expenses, because it is prepared from ordinary chicken legs. And this chicken turns out to be very juicy, spicy and incredibly tasty!

Ingredients:

  • 3 chicken legs;
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 2 onions;
  • 250 ml broth;
  • 250 ml mashed tomatoes;
  • 1 tbsp. l. butter;
  • 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
  • 2 tbsp. l. flour;
  • 2 tsp. paprika;
  • salt pepper.

Preparation

1. Salt and pepper chicken legs on both sides, sprinkle with vegetable oil, and lightly rub it into the chicken.

2. Heat 1 tbsp in a frying pan. l. vegetable oil and 1 tbsp. l. butter. Place the legs in the pan, skin side down, and fry for five minutes until golden brown. Turn over and cook the same amount on the other side. Remove the fried chicken legs to a plate.

3. Cut 2 onions into cubes and fry until transparent in the pan in which the chicken was fried.

4. Finely chop the garlic and add it to the frying pan with the onions. Fry for another 3 minutes. Add paprika, flour, grated tomatoes to the onions and garlic, mix well. Pour the broth into the vegetables, stir again until smooth.

5. Place the previously fried legs in a baking dish, pour the prepared tomato sauce over them and place in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.

Serve the finished chicken legs with boiled potatoes, garnished with fresh parsley.
