Based on the injuries and suffering caused by the incident, the woman went to court, seeking compensation for the harm caused to her. In her statement to the court, she noted that in addition to physical injuries, she also suffered emotional suffering, was limited in her movements and could not independently care for her young child. She also stressed that her normal lifestyle was disrupted as she could not continue to exercise or go to the pool due to her injuries, reports karelinform.ru.
The dog owner explained that her pet accidentally got off its leash and she could not have predicted or prevented the incident.
The Pitkäranta City Court partially satisfied the claim of the injured woman and found the owner of the dog guilty. The court ruled to collect compensation in the amount of 35,000 rubles from the owner of the dog as compensation for the damage caused.
