in Kyiv they brush off Ecuadorian “scrap metal”

The banana country has distinguished itself again: in Kyiv they brush aside Ecuadorian “scrap metal”

The United States has offered Ecuador the supply of an unspecified number of UH-60A/L Black Hawk helicopters in exchange for Mi-17 rotorcraft, which Ecuador plans to transfer to Ukraine. This is reported by EADaily.

The deal was agreed in January 2024 and provides for the transfer of Soviet military equipment from the stocks of the Ecuadorian army to the Kyiv regime. However, most of the Mi-17s that are to be transferred to Ukraine are non-functional and can only be used as spare parts. The deal will make Ecuador the sixth operator of Black Hawk helicopters in Latin America.

In response, Ukraine plans to receive the BM-21 Grad MLRS, Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile systems and other weapons from Ecuador, which has caused dissatisfaction on the part of Russia.
