In the Kezsky district of Udmurtia, law enforcement officers detained a 29-year-old local resident: the man is suspected of brutal massacre of his own children.

According to preliminary information, the detainee stabbed his 7-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter in the heart while they were sleeping peacefully. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the press service of the RF Investigative Committee for Udmurtia.

It is noted that the man went to kill the children “out of personal hostility towards his wife in connection with the divorce proceedings.” A criminal case was opened, the suspect was escorted to the pre-trial detention center.

Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin took the investigation of the circumstances of the crime under personal control.
