Leader of the DPRK Kim Chen In visited one of the tank units of the Korean People’s Army, where he discussed the preparation of troops for possible military operations against the backdrop of tensions in relations with South Korea.

According to information published by the Independent newspaper, citing North Korean sources, Kim Jong-un praised the 105th Armored Division, recognizing it as a model for the entire Korean army.
The DPRK leader gave orders to improve combat training and modernize the equipment of this unit, calling on tankers to strengthen their readiness for a possible conflict.
The 105th Guards Seoul Armored Division, for which the military unit is named, became the first North Korean military unit to reach the South Korean capital during the 1950-1953 Korean War.
