The process of identifying the people who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall cultural center has begun, the Moscow Ministry of Health announced on its website on Sunday.

According to updated data released by the Russian Investigative Committee (SZK) on Sunday afternoon, the death toll from Friday night’s terrorist attack rose to 137. Three of the dead were children. So far, 62 bodies have been identified. According to the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region, another 180 people were injured, 142 of whom were taken to hospital. The condition of several is serious, but 32 wounded have already been released.

According to the capital’s health office, the identification procedure takes place at the Moscow forensic medical examination office, where the relatives were invited in advance.

In some cases, the procedure may also require the work of molecular genetic experts, which takes at least two weeks.

The next of kin are provided with psychological support and expert advice for the production of documents. The identification process will be continuous.

At the scene of the terrorist attack, the authorities seized “six four sets of combat ammunition”, two Kalashnikov assault rifles, more than 500 cartridges and 28 magazines. In addition, in the Bryansk region, during the capture of fleeing suspects, a Makarov pistol and a Kalashnikov magazine were found in a Renault car. No traces of mining were found in Crocus.

The four direct executors of the terrorist attack were transported to the headquarters of the SZK in Moscow, according to government party representative Aleksandr Hinstein, all four are Tajik citizens. A total of 11 suspects were detained in connection with the case.

Dalerzson Mirzoyev (30 years old), Saidakrami Rachabalizod (30 years old), Samsidin Fariduni (25 years old) and Muhammadzobir Faizov (19 years old) were ordered to be detained until May 22 by the Basmanny District Court.
