In Russia, it is possible to introduce regional mortgages at the beginning of 2024, said the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, Anatoly Aksakov. According to him, a decision on this initiative is expected in the near future, and deputies will begin active work on it in January together with the Central Bank and the government.

The purpose of regional mortgages is to secure people in specific regions, and this approach will allow the distribution of resources and support measures at the federal level only in these territories. The introduction of this mortgage received the support of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina. Aksakov is confident that regulations from the regulator and the government will be sufficient to implement this initiative.
