Russia and Tajikistan signed a customs agreement | November 21, 2023

MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Acting Head Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia Ruslan Davydov and the head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Khurshed Karimzoda signed an agreement on mutual recognition of authorized economic operator institutions by Russia and Tajikistan. This was reported to reporters by the FCS press service.

“On November 21, in the Kremlin, during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the customs services of Russia and Tajikistan signed an agreement on mutual recognition of the relevant institutions of the authorized economic operator. The document was signed by the acting head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, Ruslan Davydov, and the head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khurshed Karimzoda,” the department reported.

As noted by the Federal Customs Service, the agreement will simplify and speed up the process of moving goods between countries for law-abiding participants in foreign economic activity. For direct deliveries between authorized economic operators of Russia and Tajikistan, customs operations, as well as customs inspection or inspection will be carried out as a matter of priority. At the same time, documentary and actual customs control will be carried out to the minimum extent necessary to comply with customs legislation.
