Moscow will make symmetrical decisions if the West begins to seize Russian assets, Dmitry Birichevsky, director of the economic cooperation department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, made this statement in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“The volume of funds that can be covered by our special economic response measures is significant,” Birichevsky said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In addition, the diplomat stressed that Moscow will be ready for a situation with freezing of assets.

Birchevsky also pointed out that for cooperation both parties must be interested. The anti-Russian positions of the West and the introduction of sanctions do not make sense in attempts to understand in advance the reaction of the authorities of Western countries, says Birichevsky. Residents of those countries could potentially take part in the exchange.

He also noted that Russia is always open to dialogue with the West.

Previously reported that the United States said that Biden was scared because of the failure in Ukraine. The continuation of Biden, Blinken, Jake Sullivan, and other advisers is currently in question.
