According to the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenovcruise missiles were shot down by Russian air defense over the peninsula.

The politician asked residents of Crimea do not panic, and find out information about what is happening only from official sources.

“Cruise missiles were shot down over the territory of the Republic of Crimea by air defense forces. Stay calm and trust only official sources of information,” Aksyonov wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier on September 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, as reported by the head of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev. The governor asked residents to refrain from traveling to the city center and to immediately take cover when the siren sounds.

There has been no official information about casualties or damage yet.
