Seizure of smuggled luxury goods worth approximately one million dirhams at the Bab Ceuta crossing – Day 24

Customs officers working at the Bab Ceuta crossing were able to seize a group of luxury goods and smuggled jewelry worth up to one million dirhams.

A customs source reported that customs officers at the Bab Ceuta crossing subjected a car numbered in Spain, which was on its way to enter the national territory, to a careful manual inspection, which resulted in the seizure of 3 luxury watches and two gold bracelets studded with diamonds.

The same source added that the car driver, a Moroccan resident abroad, intended to enter these goods without carrying out customs declaration procedures at the competent departments of the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration.

The person concerned was referred to the judicial police services in the city of M’diq to complete the investigation.
