Windshield wipers often become a source of unpleasant noise, which can cause irritation for both the driver and passengers inside the vehicle. It is impossible to simply ignore this “extra” sound, since the reasons for its occurrence can be varied and may indicate the presence of malfunctions.

One of the most common reasons is dirty glass, which can lead to squeaking. In this case, it is enough to simply wash the windshield. Squeaking can also occur due to scratches on the glass, which cause the windshield wipers to get stuck and make a sound. In this situation, the glass may need to be polished or replaced.

Improper installation of windshield wipers can also cause squeaking. Checking the correct installation and angle of the device may help resolve this issue. Additionally, worn out windshield wipers that do not perform their function properly due to age can also cause unpleasant noises.

In such cases, it is recommended to replace the windshield wipers with new ones.
