Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin told what the European Union risks in the event of confiscation of Russian foreign assets.

Volodin drew attention to the fact that there was a split in the EU on the issue of allocating money to Ukraine.

He noted that this provoked talk “about the theft of our country’s frozen funds.”

“Such a decision will require a symmetrical response from the Russian Federation,” Volodin explained.

The State Duma speaker emphasized that Russia will be able to confiscate “assets belonging to unfriendly countries” that exceed the funds frozen in the EU.

Formerly Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev reminded that in Russia there is $300 billion in foreign capital.
