A member of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes, reserve colonel Evgeny Fedorov, explained to a URA.RU correspondent that this is due to the need to refine and clarify the text bill. Subsequently, the draft will be proposed for discussion with the text already adjusted.
The bill was originally developed out of the need to solve the problem of military contractors who had reached the age limit but wanted to continue serving. It is planned to increase the age limit to 70 years for senior officers and to 65 years for other contract soldiers.
