An experiment in labeling veterinary drugs, animal feed, and oils has been launched in the Russian Federation. Moreover, its participants will be manufacturers of goods, importers and wholesale and retail trade organizations.

As the Cabinet of Ministers clarified, it is planned that the experiment will last until August 31, 2024. The corresponding decree was signed by the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.

At the same time, producers of refined and unrefined sunflower, soybean, olive, peanut, coconut, palm and rapeseed oil, as well as margarine, cocoa and others can take part in the experiment on labeling vegetable oil.

As for the experimental labeling of animal food, companies that produce food for dogs, cats, birds, rodents and other pets will be able to participate in it; and the veterinary drug industries are manufacturers of immunological products, vaccines and drugs consisting of two or more components.
