The King of Jordan awards Amouta with the “Silver Jubilee” after his achievement in the “Asia Cup” – Today 24

Today, Monday, the Jordanian King Abdullah II presented the members of the Al-Nashama team and its technical staff, led by Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta, with the Silver Jubilee Medal.

The honoring of the Nashama team, according to the Jordan News Agency, comes in recognition of their distinguished efforts in obtaining second place in the 2023 Asian Nations Cup, hosted by Qatar.

When receiving the honorees at Al-Husseiniya Palace, the Jordanian King praised the distinguished performance of Al-Nashama in the Asian Cup, and the high morals displayed by the team’s players, expressing his support for them in their journey to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

The Jordanian national team will receive its Pakistani counterpart in Amman, tomorrow, Tuesday, as part of the fourth round of Group Seven of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.

The Nashama team occupies second place in Group Seven with four points, equal to the Pakistanis. Saudi Arabia leads the group with nine points, while Tajikistan is at the bottom of the standings.

After the second round matches, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia, as well as the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
