The Polish Gymnastics Association (PZG) has suspended referee Irina Lortkipanidze from judging and coaching in connection with her participation in the “Heavenly Grace” rhythmic gymnastics tournament. This decision was announced on the official PZG website.

The statement emphasizes that the association opposes any measures aimed at restoring the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions. PZG supports this position, which is in line with the policy of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).

The international tournament “Heavenly Grace” was held in Beijing from December 15 to 17, with the participation of athletes from 19 countries. Competitions have been held since 2021 in accordance with the unique rules of rhythmic gymnastics developed by the International Association of Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs “Heavenly Grace”.

In July, the International Gymnastics Federation announced that athletes from Russia and Belarus will be allowed to participate in competitions under neutral status from January 1, 2024.
