The Royal Navy provides assistance to 67 candidates for irregular migration from sub-Saharan Africa (report) – Today 24

Today, Saturday, a Royal Navy frigate, which was conducting a naval patrol in the Atlantic Ocean, 118 kilometers from the military port of Dekheila, intercepted a boat carrying 67 irregular immigration candidates, originating from sub-Saharan African countries, including a woman and four minors.

A report from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces stated that the boat in question intended to head towards the Canary Islands.

The same source added that the rescued people received the necessary first aid before they were transferred to the port of Dakhla and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie in order to carry out the ongoing administrative procedures.
