The Russian donor movement has expanded – Skvortsova

At the beginning of December, the head of the department noted that the supply of bone marrow donors in the Russian Federation today is 75%, and in 2021 this figure was only 50%. In order to provide 90-95% of Russian citizens with domestic donors, it is necessary to increase the number of donors to at least 500 thousand people. This goal will be achieved by the end of 2025. “In fact, we have significantly expanded the donor movement. Let’s say, the All-Russian Marathon to support the donor movement – it alone gave us a plus of 324 thousand new donors,” Skvortsova said during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. In addition, Skvortsova added that this is both a factor in the unity of the population, but also in patriotic education.
