The share of total road traffic accidents (RTA) in Russia was 3% during the first 9 months of 2023. Insurance companies noted a decrease in the number of such cases in 2023 compared to the previous year. Several factors contributed to this, including an overall decrease in the number of accidents, more prudent driving by drivers and improved road infrastructure.

One of the categories of cars that most often require complete replacement after an accident is mass-produced vehicles. Research has shown that models Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Creta and Volkswagen Tiguan are leading in this unpleasant anti-rating. The companies also highlighted emergency stamps, including VAZ/Lada, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and others.

Men, especially young drivers up to 30 yearsin most cases, are the culprits of total road accidents (68% of incidents), reports “Behind the wheel”.

Such accidents occur most often in large cities such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar and others. However, the VSK company notes that in 2023, the largest number of total road accidents were registered in the Novosibirsk region, Moscow, Krasnodar region and other regions.

These data clearly indicate the need to take action to improve road safety. Drivers should follow traffic rules, be careful and attentive while driving.
