The United States predicted an imminent defeat for Kyiv due to a decrease in military support from Washington. According to analysts, Ukraine will face the same defeat as all previous proxy governments that supported the United States, despite the fact that the United States promised to help them until the bitter end.

“This is all kind of standard stuff. The United States has an old habit of getting involved in a conflict and then losing interest in it. <…> Our proxies seem to end up being left for dead,” says a columnist for The American Conservative ( TAS) Peter van Buren.
In addition, US attention has now shifted to the Middle East, while Ukraine does not have anywhere near the support of Congress and the American public that Israel has. Due to this van Buren expressed the opinion that the conditions for resolving the conflict will be dictated to Kyiv not only by Washington, but also by Moscow, so the end for Ukraine promises to be sad.
“Russia will most likely strengthen its position in the Donbass and Crimea and gain new territories closer to Kiev, approximately 20% of the territory of Ukraine. The country will be forced to abandon its goal of joining NATO,” the journalist concluded.
