Three billion public funds for production companies for 9 feature films this year – Today 24

The Film Production Support Committee, which held its first session of the current year from March 10 to 18, revealed the feature film projects nominated to benefit from pre-production support in the year 2024.

A statement from the Moroccan Film Center stated that, with regard to feature films nominated to benefit from pre-production support, the committee studied, during this session, 53 feature film projects, (06) six short film projects, (08) documentary film projects, and (08) Screenplay projects nominated to support screenwriting.
The committee also studied two post-production documentary films, and 26 pre-production documentary film projects, related to history, culture, and the Hassani desert area.

In total, about 3 million have resulted in 9 feature film projects. While about half a billion cents were distributed to screenwriting projects and documentary film projects.

The communication explained that with regard to the advance on pre-production revenues for feature films, the committee decided to grant an amount of 6 million dirhams to the feature film project “18 JOURS”, screenplay by Mukhtar Aish, directed by Mehdi Souissi, which was presented by the company -RANI VISION, and 4 million dirhams to the project The feature film DERRIERE LES PALMIERS / BEHIND THE PALM TREES, screenplay and direction by Meriem Benmbarek, and presented by AGORA FILMS, in addition to an amount of 3 million and 700 thousand dirhams for the feature film project “MAYYAL”, screenplay by Muhammad Buhari, directed by Saeed Khallaf, and presenter From PRO SAKIA company.

It was also decided to grant an amount of 3 million and 400 thousand dirhams to the feature film project “ELDORADO”, screenplay and direction by Alaeddine El-Jem, and presented by LE MOINDRE GESTE, and an amount of 3 million dirhams to the feature film project “FATWA”, screenplay by Ibrahim Hani and directed by Mohamed El-Badawi. An amount of 3 million dirhams was granted to the feature film project “TAOURAS/Al Taurus”, based on a script by Mounir Naguib, directed by Rabei El Gohary, and submitted by IBDAA LAAYOUNE PRODUCTION. An amount of 2 million and 500 thousand dirhams was also granted to the feature film project “PHÉNOMÈNE”. Screenplay by Mohamed Lamouissi, directed by Noureddine Dokna, and presented by DOUG PICTURES, in addition to granting an amount of two million and 500 thousand dirhams to the feature film project Al-Khattabah / KHATABA, screenplay by Abdel Mawla Al-Takela, directed by Abdallah Tokona, and submitted by NASSCOM.

In a related context, an amount of one million dirhams was granted to the documentary film project L’INDEPENDANCE DE “L’ALGERIE: UNE CAUSE MAROCAINE, screenplay by Hamid Khabash, directed by Hassan El Bouharouti, and presented by NETPROD.

Regarding support for rewriting the script, the committee decided to grant an amount of 100 thousand dirhams to the feature film project “Tvrdoust”, screenplay by Muhammad Moncef Al-Qadiri, directed by Ayoub Al-Mahjoub, and presented by HANANE FILMS AGENCY.

Regarding screenwriting support, the committee decided to grant 100,000 dirhams to the screenplay project for the feature film “LES AMES SUSPENDUS,” by screenwriter Ayoub Lahnoud, submitted by SEVEN SHOTS, and 100,000 dirhams to the screenplay project for the feature film “SINGULAR HEART BEAT,” screenplay by Hisham Ayouch, submitted by PRESIDENT PRODUCTION Company, as well as 100 thousand dirhams for the project to write the feature film titled LA PUNITION, screenplay by Ismail Ferroukhi, presented by IFFILMS Production Company.

Regarding documentaries about history, culture and the Hassani desert area, an amount of 900 thousand dirhams was granted, as part of the advance on post-production revenues, for the documentary film entitled MEMOIRE LA PAZ, directed by Ahmed Zerkan, which was presented by ZARMEDIA, and an amount of 900 thousand dirhams for the documentary film DERRIERE LE. VOILE DU DESERT, directed by Abdulaziz Khawadir, presented by MISOMEDIA.

In this same category of films, the committee decided, as part of the advance on pre-production revenues, to grant an amount of one million dirhams to the documentary film project entitled MOUNJE / Amang, screenplay and direction by Sidi Mohamed Al-Drissi, and presented by SAHARINA Production Company, and an amount of one million dirhams to the documentary film project. Titled AMAYNATE / Aminat, presented by SOCIÉTÉ DE PRODUCTION AUDIOVISUELLE DU SUD, directed by Muhammad Fadel Al-Sheikh Maa Al-Ainin, and script by Khatari Al-Mujahidi.

In the same context, an amount of one million dirhams was granted to the documentary film project entitled “The Journey of Music”, directed by ALI OUALDAHk and screenplay by BRAHL ZAROUALI, and presented by NETWORK FILM AGENCY, and one million dirhams to the documentary film project entitled “COLORS AND WAVES/ Colors and Waves”, directed by Mohamed. Asnad, and the script by Abashakh Baali, presented by SADA FILM k, and one million dirhams for the documentary film project entitled AMARZ / AMARZ, directed by Hisham Ibrahimi, with a script by Fatima Zahraa Mohimi, and presented by SOUHAILA MEDIA.

As for supporting the rewriting of the script, an amount of 100 thousand dirhams was granted to the documentary film project entitled “Tires and We Singed It,” directed by Muhammad Marwan Kamal and with a script by BABA ALLIH, presented by ABBAD FILM AGENCY, as well as 100 thousand dirhams to the documentary film project entitled ATRANGUI is presented by DCHIRA VISION, scripted and directed by MINA HANYANE.

This committee, which was chaired by Bahaa Trabelsi, was held in the presence of Bouchra Boulwiz, Sanaa Ghawati, Jihan Boukrin, Saadia Attawi, Latifa Moftaqar, Khadija Faddi, Hassan Al-Shawi, Abdullah Abu Awad, Maati Qandil and Saeed Zarabie.
