According to a report from a Russian hotel and apartment booking service TWILL. RUthe most popular destinations for hotel bookings in February 2024 are Moscow And Moscow region. This was reported by representatives of the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow Region.

According to the service, the top five most popular hotel destinations in February include:

• Moscow and Moscow region.
• Saint Petersburg.
• Leningrad region.
• Sochi.
• Krasnodar region.
• Krasnaya Polyana in the Krasnodar region.
• Arkhyz in Karachay-Cherkessia.

Experts note that Moscow and the Moscow region accounted for 16% of hotel bookings in February, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region – 15%, and Sochi and the Krasnodar Territory – 14%.

Previously, according to the magazine “Rest in Russia” and the information communications center “Rating”, the Moscow region took second place in the national tourism ranking for 2023. Analysts noted the dynamic development of tourism in this region.

Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobiev previously reported that the implemented support measures contribute to the development of tourism business in the region. In particular, there is a program that allows you to obtain land plots for the development of tourism, provision of recreational areas or construction of hotels for a nominal fee of 1 ruble.
