Turkish authorities are taking steps to combat this phenomenon by proposing a bill to ban Khanutchuluk. It is expected that guides will be prohibited from participating in activities not related to visiting historical and tourist attractions. This was reported by the publication “Accents”.
Travel agencies found guilty of fraud will have their license revoked for 5 years, and officials will be fined 100 thousand liras (approximately 300 thousand rubles).
