What is the dismissed head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov known for?

From 2000 to 2005, he was a member of the opposition party Yabloko (now the Party of Free Democrats). In 2002-2005, he served as its deputy chairman, Mikhail Brodsky. In March 2002, he tried to be elected to the Verkhovna Rada of the IV convocation on the lists of the Yabloko party, but it did not enter parliament (1.15% of the votes). In March 2006, he was elected from the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc. Since 2007, the Verkhovna Rada of the fifth convocation has been dissolved on the initiative of the president. In September 2007, Mr. Danilov again tried to be elected to parliament from the Free Democrats Party, but the party again lost the elections (0.22%).
