A traffic police spokesman says leaving side mirrors deployed in tight parking lots can help avoid damage.
Although many drivers fold their mirrors to avoid accidental damage, in tight parking lots this can make it difficult to get back to the car. By leaving the mirrors deployed, owners create additional space, reducing the risk of door collisions and preserving paintwork.
