Your beloved child painted all the wallpaper and walls at home, like a poor student’s notebook: 3 ways to fix everything

If you have a small child, you’ve probably encountered the problem of painted wallpaper in your home. To deal with this trouble, it is useful to know a few simple methods that will help you get rid of children’s drawings on valuable wallpaper.

Before you start cleaning, it is important to determine what type of wallpaper is on your walls, and whether moisture and chemicals can be used to clean them. Vinyl wallpaper can be washed using any means. However, wallpaper without water-repellent impregnation cannot be wetted. Wallpaper to be painted can be cleaned with a damp sponge if this does not damage the quality of the paint. It is better not to expose paper wallpaper to water or chemicals, so as not to spoil the design and structure.

White: Ink on light-colored wallpaper can be easily removed using the bleach we use to bleach things. Simply pour the white in a saucer and apply it to the ink using a Q-tip. After a few hours, carefully remove the chemical with a soft cloth.

Potassium permanganate: To clean contaminated areas on wallpaper, you can use a solution of potassium permanganate. Dissolve several crystals of potassium permanganate in vinegar. Soak a cotton pad in the resulting solution and thoroughly treat the stains. Then, wet the areas where the ink was with hydrogen peroxide.

Lemon acid: Vinyl wallpaper is easy to clean using citric acid. Soak a cotton swab in the citric acid solution and gently wipe the contaminated areas. After the first use, the ink will disappear.
