Nikolai Tsiskaridze was educated at the best choreographic school of the Soviet Union under the guidance of the brilliant Pyotr Pestov. Then Yuri Grigorovich noticed his talent, and he was accepted into the Bolshoi Theater, where he studied with famous artists and teachers.
Svetlana Zakharova emphasized that Tsiskaridze achieved his mastery through diligence and hard work. She noted that in a professional environment his honest and harsh position does not always find understanding, but she emphasized his frankness and directness.
