Ingredients for chocolate icing:

– 5 tablespoons of milk,

– 5 tablespoons of sugar,

– 3 tablespoons cocoa powder,

– 50 g sweet butter.

Preparation:

  1. Cream soft butter, sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, continuing to beat.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour with baking powder and a little salt. Alternately add the flour and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the flour, and mix well.
  4. Add a few drops of red food coloring and mix well to create a vibrant red color.
  5. Grease a baking pan with oil and pour the red batter into it.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for about one hour.
  7. Leave the cake to cool. Cut it into thick slices and cut out hearts using a heart cutter. Use hearts as decoration.
  8. Prepare a second light dough following the same steps but without adding the red food coloring.
  9. Place a small amount of light dough into the bottom of the baking dish. Distribute the cut out hearts evenly over the dough.
  10. Fill the mold with light dough, without filling it to the top, and level the surface.
  11. Continue baking the heart cake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for about 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
  12. Leave the cake to cool for about 15 minutes, then carefully remove from the pan and cool completely.
  13. If desired, make chocolate frosting by combining milk and sugar in a small saucepan. Gradually add cocoa powder, stirring thoroughly, and bring the mixture to a boil. Remove from heat and add butter, stir until the glaze is smooth and glossy.
