The opening of a sports ground and a physical therapy hall on the territory of the hospital will make it possible to more purposefully use the entire arsenal of modern methods of physical therapy

In the courtyard of the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after. N.N. Burdenko” of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Balashikha, the grand opening of an outdoor sports ground and a physical therapy hall with rehabilitation equipment took place.

At the initiative of the Russian Paralympic Committee, specialized sports equipment appeared in the hospital and areas were prepared for introducing Paralympic sports such as shooting, archery, wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, sledge hockey, table tennis and powerlifting.

In addition, specialists from the Russian Paralympic Committee organized consultations on the use of physical exercises with elastic bands, necessary for independent rehabilitation. Paralympic athletes, Honored Masters of Sports of Russia, Paralympic Games medalists: Knight of the Order of Courage Vladimir Kamantsev and Knight of the Order of the Red Star Tanatkan Bukin conducted master classes on adaptive sports for military personnel who were injured during a special military operation.

The opening of a sports ground and a physical therapy room on the hospital’s territory will allow for more targeted use of the entire arsenal of modern methods of physical therapy.

“Medical rehabilitation programs use simulators with biological feedback, therapeutic exercises, more than 40 methods of physiotherapy, manual and acupuncture, osteopathy and various types of massage. Rehabilitation programs are compiled individually for each patient by specialists from a multidisciplinary team of doctors,” listed the head of the branch of the 3rd Main Military Clinical Hospital named after Burdenko Sergey Popov.
