A suspect in the murder of father Vladimir Legoyda was detained in the Moscow region

Vladimir Legoyda was born on August 8, 1973 in Kostanay (now the city of Kostanay in Kazakhstan). After graduating from school, he moved to Moscow, where he entered MGIMO at the Faculty of International Information. In 2005, he joined the board of the Charitable Foundation of St. Seraphim of Sarov, after which he began to cooperate with the Russian Orthodox Church. He became the first person without spiritual education to hold a post in the Synodal Department of the Moscow Patriarchate. Legoyda is responsible for the interaction of the Russian Orthodox Church with public organizations and heads the press service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’.
