Consumer Reports has unveiled its annual rankings of the best cars of 2024 in various categories.

The rating was compiled based on owner surveys and expert opinions. Among the winners were the Toyota Corolla in the compact car category, the Mazda CX-30 in the subcompact crossover category, the Toyota Prius in the hybrid segment, and the Toyota Camry in the mid-size sedan category. The Subaru Forester won best crossover, the Subaru Outback won best off-road wagon, and the Kia Telluride won best full-size three-row SUV.
The Honda Ridgeline won the small pickup category, the Lexus RX was named the best midsize premium crossover, and the Tesla Model 3 was named the best electric car.
